It is Day 3 of the Nine Patch a Day Quilt Along and I have made 9 blocks. I'm working ahead a bit as I've been waiting for my fabric for the Red Barn Zig Zag Quilt Along... I know, I know, I'm a newbie and crazy for jumping right into the fire but it is SO FUN! So you can see my nine blocks at the top of the post for that quilt along.
This is my fabic for the Zig Zag Quilt Along. I'm going to alternate this fabric (Picnic Parade by Jenean Morrison) in rows with khaki kona cotton. (say that fast three times!) This just arrived today and since I'm using varying products (I've never used kona cotton before) I'm washing everything. So hopefully tomorrow I'll get past ironing and on to cutting.
There's more! In addition to all this, I've been working on the sashing for my first quilt...I'll have photos soon! (Check out the first post on the ugly ducking here.) I probably should've finished this entirely before moving on to the next project but the quilt alongs were just too irrestistable.
Follow the links for more info on the two different quilt alongs... It's not too late to join either!
