As you can see one of my favorite color combinations is red, white & blue, and my favorite red, white & blue designer is Minick & Simpson. Above is my stash collection of Prairie Paisley & American Primer.
If you've read any previous posts, you know that my sewing space is in our newly finished basement. We also have a family room and our nicer TV in the basement... which can get rather cold during the winter in Minnesota...so we are need of lots of quilts! Thus far the color pallet is lots of tan (carpet, walls, oak doors & cabinets) and brown (leather furniture, entertainment center), so we are in need of some color! I have some red fabric from Ballards to make valances for all the windows & drapes for the patio doors and a Jasper Johns flag print being framed. Throw pillows will probably also come from the above fabrics.
The stack of fabric on the left is for a quilt made with a American Primer layer cake using one of Anka's Treasures layer cake patterns, next to it is a stack of charms for unspecified use. The other photo shows assorted yardage from both groupings and my Prairie Paisley jelly roll that I think I will use another Anka's Treasures pattern for and again a few charm packs for runners and such.
In hindsight, I should've done this a few weeks over the 4th of July weekend...but once nice thing about red, white and blue...it's always in fashion!
