Sunday Stash: Impressions by Lonni Rossi

I absolutely love this fabric, when I saw it I HAD to have it. (I'm sure you have had THAT feeling before.) My intention is to use this print as an outer border and also sparingly in a few blocks of a throw size quilt. At this point I'm thinking of keeping the pallet this sage green color (see the second print I have in this collection below), true red and white... using modern graphic fabrics & white primarily for the blocks. Perhaps a solid red for a narrow inner border? I'm wondering though if I can use a circular print like Kaufmann Mingle in Lipstick? Or even a polka dot? I don't want it to be too matchy-matchy, which would be my normal tendency?

Tell me what you think! I probably won't start this project until next year some time... since I'm a newby and I just couldn't stand to screw this up... I need to wait until my expertise (and lack there of at this point), catches up to this fabric, 'cause I just love it!
