Quilted

Yesterday I finished quilting my Framed Robots quilt top. I quilted an irregular grid pattern extending the lines from the seams of the quilt top. I am generally pleased with it for my level of expertise and lack thereof. I am anxious to get to the washing stage to disquise some of the not quite straight lines. Todays' mission will be to get the binding done.

The only issue I have is - I am wondering if my fabric stretched? Specifically the larger focal panel? I didn't think this was possible, but I am wondering if all the going over it this direction & that, rolling, folding, etc. caused it to stretch because now my top narrow border looks bowed out a bit. So is this possible or is it me? I'd love to get the thoughts of those of you who are more experienced?

Hmm....I can't imagine that it would, but I am not sure either. Maybe the washing will also take that part out of it too.

Sometime the quilting itself seems to flatten out one area more than another. I do like your quilting choices though.

Perhaps the top may be slightly smaller and not as "givey" as it has been pieced while the backing is one piece of fabric

It looks lovely so be happy as they say

Blocking is always my friend in those cases. Which happen a lot!
