Sunday Stash: Baseball

Since fall is in the air and the regular baseball season is fast drawing to a close, this seemed like a good time to share these baseball fabrics that were purchased as a Five Yard Quilt kit. This is (if I can get it done) going to be a Christmas gift for my 7 year old. It is one of the few things I am going to try to sew for Christmas. From about now until after Christmas is just a blur at my house with pheasant hunting, deer hunting (my husband, not me) and all the holidays so I try to be realistic as to holiday sewing since just keeping up with life and the laundry can be enough.

From right to left the fabrics are as follows:
Blue Solid 513 Shadow Play by Maywood Studio
Cream Bats & Pinstripes "little slugger" by Alexander Henry Fabrics
Brown Geometric Northern Flight by Holly Taylor for Moda
Red Baseballs "change up" by Alexander Henry Fabrics
Baseball Print "stealing third" by Alexander Henry Fabrics

I purchased this kit at at Country Caboose Quilts in Wahkon, Minnesota (near Lake Mille Lacs) this spring. I would call the store an unlikely find... it is in a sheet metal building in a very small town but just full to the brim. Stores like this are where you always find interesting stuff, they don't sell on their website so things that are a year or two old are still there... they even had several copies of Martha Thompson's, Square Dance Book. (But sadly, no Heather Ross.)

You can check out more Sunday Stash at the Flickr Pool, here.
