Wonky Star Block for Amanda Jean

Last week Amanda Jean of Crazy Mom Quilts was looking for block donations for several Quilts of Valor she is making. I signed up because it is a good cause and I have been thinking of making some large wonky star blocks to use for throw pillows for my family room so this would be fun practice. (Don't you think the block goes nicely on my PB pick stitch sham?) If you would like to try to make some of these yourself, check out Silly BooDilly's tutorial here. I love these blocks because stylewise I consider them the perfect balance between wonky, modern & classic AND they go with most anything!

Besides making pillows, I'm wondering about running to the scrapbook store for a few 12" square frames to make some quilt art for my walls?!

If you haven't entered the giveaway for the OOP Amy Butler Charm FQ set, check out this previous post... you have until Wednesday to enter!
