ORB Quilt Along

Seems like time has flown by and I really haven't accomplished much of anything... and I don't even know what my excuse would be even if they were valid? A week or so ago one of the members of the ORB Quilt Along group started a block a day challenge to finish up their Wonky Log Cabin Blocks. I did well for the first two days before I had to stop for my two day affair with Benjamin Moore and a few PTO projects. This weekend I got a few more blocks done (now that I have stage 1 of the Halloween costume done I am back to beige thread on my machine). Anyway, so now I am up to the grand total of 6 blocks. While I have said before the fabric certainly is not my favorite anymore, the blocks looks very seasonally appropriate amongst the fallen leaves. Of my current QA projects, I decided this is the one I'd like to get out of sight/out of mind first... so let's see how I do, I know better than to make any promises!

Round 4 of the Old Red Barn Quilt Along begins today. Heidi is going to lead this group through a variety of circle quilt options. I'm going to only play along for a few blocks just to make a table topper or runner... I have plenty to do but would love to learn the how to's of this project. Go check out all the Rail Fence, Zig Zag & Wonky Log Cabin quilts that this group has produced as well as the options available for the Circle Quilt Along.

I think it looks great - especially under the trees.
