The Making of My Jedi: The Complete Saga

As you can see I finished my Halloween sewing and I am happy to report the costume shop is closed for the year. I finished the signature Jedi tunic, tabards and sash and did even get to the boots (ie- vinyl covers for crocs).

The only sewing tidbit I can share it just how cheap pleather is... I thought I was being clever to use painters tape to hold the boot pieces together while I sewed and the painters tape removed some of the fake leather finish of the fabric... and the fabric is more stretchy and difficult to work with than you would think.

Other than that I just have to share this since it is the main thing I've been working on as of late and I'm a bit of a closet Star Wars junkie myself. (I did dress up as Princess Leia one year for trick or treating.)

So here are Obi-Wan and Yoda ready to go trick or treating...Yoda's attire is from Target, I just didn't have the time or inclination to sew those ears...fortunately both were equally happy.

Holy hell, that's fantastic!!!! You are so smart - I want one! I looked everywhere for a Han Solo outfit a few years ago (gotta love the blood stripe trousers) and couldn't get one anywhere. Should've asked you, huh? *grins*
