Christmas Take Four Table Runner

Here is another quick runner that I made for a teachers' gift using 4 fat quarters of Nancy Halvorsen for Benartex fabrics. Take Four Table Runner is from Fat Quarter Frenzy Two by Susan Purney Mark and Daphne Greig.

I had hoped to make a few more runners so that I would have enough for my younger sons preschool teachers, but time is running out fast so instead this runner and the Quilt As You Go Christmas Runner were delivered to my older sons' church school teachers the other day and I'll be spending the weekend with oodles of oilcloth to make bags for the preschool teachers instead!

I'm almost to 100 posts. Since it's going to fall over the holidays, I've decided I'll try to come up with something grand for the new year...maybe at 111 posts? In the meantime, I thought a little giveaway is in order for anyone who might read to the bottom of one of my posts?! So leave a comment on this post telling me where you live...no blogging about and all those hoops to jump through..and I'll announce the winner whenever I post next (probably Sunday Stash). So, what is the prize? How about a Northern Solitude charm pack? And, yes I'll gladly ship to my international friends.

I love the table runner, they always make great teacher gifts. I hope you will post pictures of the oil cloth bags. They will make wonderful gifts too. So you want to know a little bit about where I live. We have snow on the ground, it is cold, so cold that when I took my daughter into school at 6:50 this morning the thermometer read 10 degrees. I am not much of a cold person either. So it gives me quite the excuse to stay in and quilt.

You are so sweet to make such lovely gifts for the kid's teachers. I love how you took the photo's - finally a few days that we could actually go outside, huh?
Northern Solitude is a great line of fabric - thanks for having a give away.

I love the table runners you've made!! The teachers will love you! i'd love to win your fabric giveaway.

I live in Virginia...where we are getting 2 ft of snow in a major snow storm tonight and tomorrow! Quite unlike Virginia! It's coming UP from the South this time, and when I was growing up, any storm coming from below us always meant No School!!!! Guess i'll just have to stay in and sew! :)

Hi, I live in southern Mississippi, so our temps right now are in the 40s and 50s. I'm a transplant from the UP of Michigan, so quite a contrast. Will you be providing directions for making the oilcloth bags? I'm a new reader of your blog. Thx,

I just live about a snowballs throw away from you. Well....not quite. But about 100 miles west. And you have way more snow than we do. If it's going to be cold, it may as well snow!
