Fall Inspired Quilt Swap: KJR Wonky Log & Leaf

Here is my Fall Inspired Mini Quilt ready to mail off to my swap partner (Could it be you?). It is made of Denyse Schmidt's Katie Jump Rope Line of fabrics and some khaki kona cotton. I started with the center leaf block sometime ago and stared at it a while trying to decide what to do next. Originally, I was going to do a groupings of three small leaf blocks but I had seen several leaf grouping in the flickr pool so decided to try the wonky log cabin around my leaf block instead.

After I finished piecing the block it looked a little loud so I stippled around the leaf to try to bring it forward and used the khaki kona cotton binding to try to quiet things down a bit?! You can see all the other participants' fall quilts in the flickr pool.

Hi Karen! I've come for a visit via the fall quilt swap b/c I just love your mini and wanted to see more of your work. I likee! I see you are in DQS8, too. I'm very excited about that swap (but a little intimidated by all of the action already!!) I'm going to follow along here...your blog banner is gorgeous btw.
