A few (or more) years ago I purchased a Quilt Pink charm pack with the intention of making something to honor a friends' mother that had breast cancer.
Earlier this year, Dana at the Old Red Barn was approached about our flickr group about donating a quilt to be auctioned off in support of breast cancer research. When Dana requested blocks, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to use my charm pack. I made a few Wonky Monkey Wrench blocks, a Maverick Star and a Wonky Rail Fench block in a basketweave type pattern.

I hope these quilts (the group donated enough blocks for SIX quilts!) raise a lot of money for a very good cause...

Way to go! It feels great to be a small part of something big. I'm sure the quilts will indeed raise a lot of money.

Love your blog. Especially those pink blocks. Adorable!!
Your blocks look great! I'm a big supporter of breast cancer awareness as my mom is a survivor. Just found your blog and live near the SD badlands.
