Here is the finished Modern Pink Squares Baby Quilt that I delivered to a friend last week. (Even on time despite my walking foot breaking at 3pm the day prior, BEFORE I even started quilting!) It was a very fast to assemble quilt that was inspired by Quilting Barbie's DQS8.
I used less than half of a Moda Scrap Bag that was primarily Oh Cherry Oh by Me and My Sister, a half of a yard of pink Kona cotton and about a yard of white Kona cotton for the 36 x 42 quilt top and scrappy binding. The quilting is done in a modern random grid that is fast becoming a favorite of mine.

I love how you took a fairly traditional motif and contemporized it... Hey, I made up a new word!

Your quilt is adorable!!
Hi!!
just saw your quilt and it is very cute. Looking for some ideas for my first grandbaby. Can't wait.
It is beautiful in it's simplicity and gorgeous colours.
What a simple pattern and so sweet, shows off the fabrics! reminds me of a children's book I saw tonight at Target, "Pinkalicious!" Very cute..
I love the quilt! I would be interested in finding out more about the modern random grid quilting. Is it just freestyle quilting (eye-guessing) your lines? I like the way yours looks. Thanks!
Great blog!
