This past week I finished my DQS8 and one of the fabric collections I used was Cake Rock Beach designed by Joelle Hoverson of Purl Patchwork for Moda, and I absolutely fell in love with again. This fabric collection was introduced in 2008 and is now becoming more difficult to find. Here is a link to the announcement post of the Purl Bee that features the entire original collection.
Of course my favorite colorway is the brown above and I was also have a few pieces of the flame colorway below. The collection was inspired by the naturalist science and art of the 19th century.
I am curious why Joelle didn't design any subsequent fabric collections? (that I am aware of, anyway) As I think this one is pretty amazing...

Wow....those are gorgeous fabrics. I wonder, too, why there were no future fabrics.
