3x6 Sampler Bee: Received

These are the blocks I received from my fellow hive members for the first quarter of the 3x6 Sampler Bee. They are all so wonderful, thank you!

I requested red and white blocks so that I could make a quilt that could be used near the 4th of July or Christmas, but I've since decided to use the modern holiday-ish fabric that the blocks are laid out on as the focal border for this quilt. It is from the Impressions line by Lonni Rossi. (You can see a better photo from a previous Sunday Stash post.)

I also made myself a block...(I made Dutchman's Puzzles for each of my hive members.) so that I could accumulated a few more blocks. The second quarter for the bee will be starting soon... I again requested red and white blocks and it is always fun to work with others color sections and try something you might not have on your own.

To see all the other fab blocks for this bee, check out the flickr pool.

These are WONDERFUL..I can't decide if I like Red and White or Blue and White the best. Both draw my attention!

I just love the fabric with the mixer blades..how CUTE! I love novelty fabrics! It's always fun to see the surprise that you don't notice at first glance!

Thanks for sharing the inspiration!
