I really enjoyed reading Gwen's original Liberated Quiltmaking (from the library, of course --- it's been out of print for some time and major expensive on eBay!) and snatched up LQ II a month or so ago. A great read; lots of inspiration both in quilts and techniques. I was pleasantly surprised to find not only is Gwen a Michigander, but she's also a year-round resident on Beaver Island. I love Beaver Island! *grin*

I don't really have a favorite quilting book, I prefer individual patterns, or just getting ideas and then going with them. And right now I am not on the lookout for any fabric of any kind since I have so much that I need to get through already! It's gotten to that point! I bet a book on string quilting would help me use up a lot of what I have though! thanks for the chance!

I am so excited that Elizabeth of Oh, Frannson has a basic quilting book about to be published, as her blog has educated me so well!

My favorite quilting book is called Japanese Quilt Blocks to Mix and Match. The blocks are very unique and I've had fun making some of them. Thanks for the giveaway!

I really don't have a favorite book. I did check one out at the library that had a shortcut to a bunch of different measurements for quilting, but I wrote down the numbers I needed!!
