Rainbow Around the Block

The Minneapolis Modern Quilt Guild is collecting blocks for Anna Maria Horner's, Rainbow Around the Block which is an effort to provide quilts to those in Tennessee that lost their homes to flooding this year. We meet next week, so I dived into my scrap bag today.

Anna Maria asked for 12.5" blocks monochromatic or harmonious in color scheme. The first block I made was a yellow and orange square in a square block. Since yellow and orange are next to each other on the color wheel I am hoping that is what was meant by harmonious? For the next two blocks, I used one of the suggested patterns to make two rich fall toned blocks.

Blocks are being accepted until September 1st, so if you are interested in participating, check out the link above.
