DQS9 Finished!

Today I finished and mailed my DQS9 to my partner... I am hoping that I hit the nail on the head since this design came to me instantly when I read her preferences.  It is inspired by Opposites Attact from the Sizzlin' Sixties book by Anka's Treasures.  (and the hexagon quilt along helped a bit too!)  The fabrics are all Kaffe Fassett prints and shot cottons from stash and this LQS.  It is hand quilted with perle cotton in each of the respective colors.  I am happy with how it turned out, I think it contributes the charm of the not perfectly pieced top... my partner is a phenominal machine quilter so I was a bit intimidated!

Check out the DQS9 flickr pool to see lots of inspiring quilts!

It's amazing!!! The fabrics are so lively together and your hand stitching turned out beautifully. I'm sure your partner will really appreciate that extra special effort.

Fantastic! Love the design, love the fabrics and color and I think the stitching adds a wonderful feeling of hand crafted. I was so sad I missed DQ9.
