DQS9 Peek

Here is the top of the quilt I have made for my DQS9 partner... It is inspired by this Anka's Treasures design and uses Kaffe Fassett prints and shot cottons. I was originally going to hand quilt this with perle cotton, using the respective colors in each area, but now I am a bit concerned the handling will stretch some of the bias pieces and result in bubbling.  So I am going to machine quilt it, but the question is how? and what color of thread? I really like this and wondered about using a dark gray thread? Or perhaps color coordinated thread in horizontal zig-zaggy lines following the lines of the hexagons?  And seeing the final product, I am wondering if I should go back and add a white or charcoal outer border What do you think?  My brain is a bit fried today so I just can't think!

The quilt is fabulous! I don't have any advice about quilting it though. I'm sure you'll do great!

The quilt looks awesome!! I think that the gray thread with that pattern would look fabulous. I don't think that you need to add black border, but it looks good either way.
