Winners & Thread Survey Tally

Thank you to all that entered the giveaway this week...thank you for the wishes and welcome to those of you that are new followers.  Without delay, here are the winners:

I have emailed Carol as to her choice of the prizes and address info, I will then follow up with Kimland and Rafael's Mum.  I have decided that before I do another giveaway, I need to simplify things and learn how to number the comments!
On to thread... I personally have tried Aurofil, YLI, Coats & Clark Star and Connecting Threads. Aurofil is lower lint but seems to break on me on occasion, YLI was nice, Coats & Clark was heavy on lint but worked well and Connecting Threads worked fine and I think was a bit better on lint than Coats & Clark, though it definately seems to heavy for piecing. So here are the results of the rather informal thread use survey... if you listed two types I included both and some of you did not list any so this does not adhere to the scientific method in any fashion:

Gutterman 44
Superior 18
Aurofil 18
Coats & Clark 18
Mettler 9
Connecting Threads 6
Sulky 6
Signature 3
Presencia 2
Cansew 1
Astra 1
Isacord 1

Factors mentioned affecting choice were availability, price and your machine's temperment.  There were several of you that indicated interest in additional information so I will be doing a follow up post in the next few weeks.  I'd like to find out what a few recognized experts are using, query a few shop owners here in the Minneapolis area and possibly contact a few of the thread companies to see if they respond?  Any other ideas would be welcomed and I appreciate your input!

Amy Butler reportedly uses Coats & Clark...or at least that's what her patterns recommend!

Congratulations winners!
I agree about the Coats and Clark being too heavy for piecing.
