Indulgent

There has not been much sewing going on here the last week.  My youngest got a very bad case of croup on Halloween, that escalated to a borderline case of pneumonia and as my husband was traveling I ended up calling my MIL in a panic last Monday to see if she could come to town to watch my older son as I was sure William's oxygen was so low he'd be admitted to the hospital.  Fortunately, he started to improve just a bit about the time she arrived so we were able to avoid that. (Thank you, Janet)

Since then he's been improving, I've been putzing on my Paganini that I was originally going to squeeze in somewhere last weekend for the Year of LaPetite.  My husband came home from a business trip Thursday night and left Friday afternoon for deer hunting... My only escape was to the grocery store for necessities.

In addition to the necessities I bought FOUR quilting magazines! I don't know that I've ever bought that many quilting magazines at once in my life... and it's really surprising my grocery store had that many different ones? I have had quite the magazine habit in the past, but have really curbed it... now I usually buy the F&P Easy Quilts, Quilts & More (sometimes you can find these at Sam's or Costco for 30% off, too!)  and then Fat Quarterly (online).  So I'm looking forward to checking these out, there's a new one and a seasonal one in the pile.

What quilty things have you INDULGED in lately? (I won't tell?!) And what is your favorite quilting magazine of recent?  Have a good night... you know what's on my table tonight!

glad your son is feeling better, nothing as scary as that ( I know..my youngest had the same thing for years). So I think your purchase is not so much indulgent as well deserved! x

Sorry to hear about your week! Sounds like you need a quilting retreat. I am also trying to curb my mag habit, but I can't resist Stitch and Quiltmania.

Croup is no fun. Sounds like it was a crazy week. Glad things have improved.

My weakness has to be fabrics. SIGH! They are all so beautiful.

I want to make the star sampler from the Christmas magazine on the bottom left!

Big indulgence...a huge order from Fat Quarter Shop. It was meant to be, because she had her baby the next morning. Someone needed to help pay the bill!!!!

We've only ever had one round of croup. Scary!
