The Upside of the Situation

This IS a quilting blog...it's just lately I've been obsessed with getting these boys of mine outfitted in pjs for many a cold winters' nights here in Minnesota. But one thing I'm sure you all will understand is - the upside of the situation - do you realize how much space all that interlock knit and flannel take up? Yes, and I've used a good bit of it in the last week or so and this weekend I've got a little flannel sewing for myself planned. And a little re-organization too... with some new found space.  One of my goals this year was to make a dent in my stash so that I could get my Elfa carts into the closet in my sewing/guest room.  I'm not there yet, but this has been definite progress in the right direction!

Next Monday is the Sew Mama Sew giveaway day...so comeback for a charming OOP giveaway! And after that, the quilting resumes voraciously!

And if you've heard any weather today, everything that has been said about the blizzard here is Minnesota is probably true... we've just gotten dumped on! Here my husband is blowing our front sidewalk and the snow is almost as high as the snow blower! (and it's still snowing!)

Holy, that is a lot of snow! I hope your power stays on and that you're all snug and warm in your new PJ's!

Wow!!! That is a lot of snow. I have been wondering how much you guys got. Brrr too!!!!

Sewing fabrics definitely take up a lot more space than quilting cottons.

I'm down in Nebraska and we "heard" the storm literally although we didn't get "dumped on" like you did. The wind was amazing - and I think most of the snow we did get landed in my driveway.

Wow that snow picture is something else. So stupid snow question, does the mail still come? Where's your mailbox? I need to go rake leaves myself.
