Minneapolis Modern Quilt Guild Challenge

The Minneapolis Modern Quilt Guild will be meeting next on Thursday, February 17th at 6:30 pm at Sewtropolis.  Our first challenge for the year is going to be a black and white project.  Each of us that are participating are to bring two print fat quarters that read white, gray or black (quilt shop quality) and that have been cut into 3" x 20" strips.  With our assortment of strips that we receive from swapping with everyone, we can add ONE SOLID fabric to the mixture to create our top to be revealed at our May meeting.

Thinking that some of the members on our Big Tent site may be from areas outlying the metro, Elise our challenge coordinator has opened this up to members that would like to participate via mail.  So if you are a current member but can't make it downtown on a weekday evening, are a member and want to know more, OR would like to join - check out our Big Tent site. (still under construction a bit).

Myself and some of the other members that have blogs are blogging today to promote our challenge...stop by for a visit if you have time!

Last years challenge included polka dots -  you can see my finish here and more on our flickr page.

And lastly for inquiring minds, my fabrics above are from the RJR Sew Fun collection (white background) and churches from the Victoria & Albert collection for David Textiles.

Where did you get the V & A fabric? I'm in love with that print. I saw it on Trueup but haven't seen it in stores yet. Thx!
