WIP: Fast & Furious

I've decided to set aside the next 4 weeks for my self - induced Fast & Furious UFO Challenge.  I made a list and identified about a dozen small projects that could be knocked out within a day or so each (I know I wasn't going to make a list but I decided it was necessary to determine how long to make my challenge period)  If I can get a significant portion of these projects done, I will make some nice progress toward my yearly goals

Given each project is in a separate bin, bag or drawer of course I'll not only be making space but additionally the obvious goal of using up stash.  There are two lap size quilts on my list so they will go towards the goal of 11 larger quilts for 2011.  One of these throws, from the ORB Pinwheel Quilt along, I plan to FM quilt myself which is another goal for 2011.

Today I getting ready to (trying to figure out how to) iron this quilt top from the GKFE, fusible batting & knit backing together.  So far beach towels on the floor under the backing, batting & top layered on top, held taught with the usual blue painters tape is my thought... feel free to offer any words of wisdom though!  Alright I best get sewing, I've spent most of the first day of my challenge cleaning my house!

I am impressed with your motivation to get it all done.

I haven't used the fusible on a large quilt so I have no idea how it will work. Good luck with it.
