WIP: DQS10 Inspiration & Fabrics

This particular time I had a hard time deciding on a plan for my DQS10 for my partner.  They really have a bit of everything in the favorites and mosaics, which can be good and bad.  Good that they seem like they would be pleased with something made just for them and bad in that, it is hard to discern what their real fav is that would make their heart sing.

I was looking at something paper pieced and toothy like a pickle dish or New Year Beauty block and then I remembered that several months ago I had signed up for a paper piecing class at my LQS in March.  The blocks are above are from my class, which I must say was phenomenal on many levels... the teacher (who seam rippered mistakes & ironed for students across the table from the iron) and techniques were wonderful. The class utilized this pattern and I will use the same paper pieced unit in my DQS but I'm going to change the setting and border up a bit.

My partner seems to like blue-greens so I have pulled these fabrics to use along with some white kona cotton.

You can find the DQS flickr group here...there is lots of wonderful eye candy and inspiration to see!

Looking good Karen! I can stop by and pick it up rather than you sending it to me!
