I finished my doll quilt for the well known flickr swap, and it is in the mail off to my partner...
As I previously mentioned, the pattern for the base block is the Ice Cream & Pie pattern by Anythingbutboring Quilts. This was the pattern that was used in a paper piecing class that I recently took at my LQS and for those of you that have asked, if you call they'll be glad to send it out to you. The instructor used a similar setting for multiple blocks and I just modified it to fit the DQS size constraints.
I think (and am hoping I am right!) that my partner likes blues and greens so I used a scrappy mixture of prints in those colors, with several prints from the Nicey Jane line.
It was a windy day here so it was challenging to get a photo, but William held the quilt on our sidewalk so I could get a photo in the sunlight which always shows the truest colors.
If you haven't been following along on flickr, I suggest you check out the group photo pool for lots of eye candy that will have you oohing and ahing!

This is gorgeous!!! You've got a lucky partner. The quilt is so beautifully pieced.
I love the colors and it turned out so nice. You can send it my way if she doesn't like it. ;)
