BeeFF: Blue & Beige for Louise (Scraps from around the US!)

Louise asked for 1 - 12" and 4 - 6" blue and beige blocks using tone on tone or small scale print fabrics.  For the 12" block, I chose one of my favorite blocks, the Dutch Windmill, and for the 6" blocks used classic patterns from the Farmer's Wife.

I don't have very many blue tone on tone fabrics in my stash so I had to dive into my scrap boxes.  As I was making the blocks, I realized the blocks were going to have an interesting origin.  The blue print from the large block was the lining fabric in the first quilted thing I ever made which was a bag.  The paisley background in many of the blocks came from Jennie's stash sale, the blue print in the monkey wrench block was from scraps I won in a giveaway that Victoria had and the remainder of the blue prints are Minick & Simpson fabrics from a giveaway that Laurie hosted.  So these fabrics from Minnesota, Illinois, New York and Michigan will be off next week to Louise on Prince Edward Island, Canada!
