Homework Complete!

Tomorrow Jacquie from Tall Prairie Grass Studio and author of Quilting Modern is teaching a class on machine piecing hexagons for the Minneapolis Modern Quilt Guild at Sewtropolis.

Our homework was to cut our fabric into strips so Jacquie can teach us a quick way to cut the hexagons. I'm going for a bed size quilt so I made my hexagon strips a bit bigger than suggested.  Despite having a naked bed, I chose low volume fabrics that I thought would make a great second quilt that would match any other quilt we might have on our bed when I finally get one finished. (We do have two quilt winters here in Minnesota!)

I'm very excited to meet Jacquie and learn this machine technique (love times saving tricks) and to see all the quilts come together - there are some super fabric choices in the group.

But for tonight, I'm just happy to have my homework done before the wee hours of the night.  Hope you have a good weekend!
