Lush Paint by Number Wall Quilt

One of the first things on my to do list this fall was finish up a few UFOS.  I pieced this crib quilt late last fall and have had it all sandwiched ready to quilt in the closet since then.  The fabrics are from Erin Michael's Lush line and the pattern is Framed by Katie Hennagir of Bay Window Quilt Shop.  (To see it in another colorway, check out this robot quilt I made a few years ago.)

I used a simple random crosshatch to quilt this with Quilters Dream batting, which I had only used on runners before. It quilted up great, though I think a few of the blocks stretched a bit after sitting pinned for almost a year.  So in the future I need to not let quilts sit pinned for that long (ya think!) and / or do a stitch around the quilt in the allowance to prevent the stretching.

I just need to get a sleeve on this quilt so I can hang it up in my living room.  I have these pillows on my couch and two mounted deer heads my walls so I think the quilt will fit right in!
I'm linking up with Fabric Tuesday at Quilt Story and Canoe Ridge Creations today.

I can't believe you couldn't wait to finish this quilt. It's beautiful! That fabric is great.

I love this quilt idea! Just bought some of the new 2013 Lush line and I couldn't bear cutting up the deer paint by numbers either.
