A Friday Finish: 12 + 2 = Q (plus shams)

This queen size quilt top above was made using Oh Frannson's 12 + 2 = Q quilt pattern along with an eclectic mix of fat quarters to tie together many things in my bedroom along with kona khaki solid fabric.  The patterns is very simple and a good way to whip something up in not much time.  I wanted to make something for my bedroom quickly, but would also coordinate with my current mossy-sagey green bed skirt and drapes as well as some of the fabric groups I have stashed for future potential quilts for my room. (Meadowsweet & Marmalade - I live in MN, two quilts is not out of the question for wintertime!)

Below are the shams I made to go with the quilt...the sham on the left should line up with the narrow patchwork on the left side of the quilt and the right side of the sham should line up with the right patchwork line of the quilt as well. (fingers crossed)

The quilt back is all one print...this aqua, sage and khaki paisley from Moda's Peace on Earth collection... I did one width of fabric down the center and equal pieces on the left/right so if I flip the quilt over it will look like a coverlet.

And one more photo from the backside...

I am linking up with Amanda Jean today...and looking forward to checking out everyone else's finishes tonight.
