Above is a quilt that I'm working on and it includes a couple of firsts for me. This is my first attempt at quilting in concentric circles. The spacing and circle shape are looking good but I have many little bumps and jogs in my lines. Moving to my larger dining room table would surely help to prevent some of the pulls by the weight of the quilt. I considered increasing the foot pressure but am afraid that it might create puckers...right now the back looks good.
Another first in this quilt is Dreamsilk batting. It has a lovely drape but when I pulled up my blue tape from basting it seemed easily stretchable at edges and there is a lot of pilling? on the quilt surface as I work.
And the last of the firsts...I am trying to do this post on my phone. I had carpeting cleaned so our office is not accessible and my dining area is full of living room furniture. Fingers crossed to have this quilt finished and all the furniture back where it is supposed to be by the time I go to bed tonight!
