Needles and Notions Zippered Pouch

Today's finish is a needles and notions zippered pouch that I made for a knitter in my family.  I found the tutorial by Very Shannon on the LuvInTheMommyhood site.  Originally I had contemplated a needle roll but wondered if that was a good idea not knowing much about knitting needles OR what kind/how many the recipient exactly had.  When I stumbled on this tutorial I loved it as it is not so specific.  The zip pocket is designed for needles and then snap pocket on the side for circulars.

I used a combination of Sandi Henderson prints for the pouch exterior, lining and pocket and was lucky to have a matching Snap Source snap on hand.

The zipper did not turn out how I hoped, but in fairness the directions did not set the zipper how I would have liked.  I have Elizabeth's zip bag pattern and love the way her's look so tried to follow that pattern at the same time but I really need to get the method down before applying to other patterns...so I guess I'll be practicing!

I am linking up with Amanda Jean today!
